eBook Dynasty participates in Foundry658

October 2018: Foundry658 is an intensive business program designed especially for creatives who are keen and ready to grow their creative business, or find a new business model for their work.
Created through the Victorian Government’s Creative State strategy, and delivered jointly by State Library Victoria and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), the program aims to support the growth, innovation and sustainability of Victoria’s creative industries.
"Foundry658 will help creative entrepreneurs, artists, organisations and collectives develop their professional practice into more sustainable and scalable businesses. Participants in the program will be guided on how to develop a feasible business plan and strategy, refine their pitch, approach potential investors, and test or demonstrate their idea to future customers," announces the program's official website.
eBook Dynasty is one of 33 teams across the State of Victoria that are selected for the Bootcamps. These are a series of workshops and coaching sessions, for teams and individauls with an idea or existing experience to test their concept. Participants are facilitated to test and support the development of their chosen project.
Selected for the First Intake in November, eBook Dynasty's project "Dynasty Bridge" proposes to design, develop and deliver a platform that allows authors, translators, book artists and readers to freely interact and work with each other across the English/Chinese linguistic and cultural barriers.
After the Bootcamps, 10 ready-to-scale business ideas will be selected for the Accelerator program. They will be provided with intensive skills training, tailored advice and networking opportunities. Financial investment of $20,000 per project is offered in addition to mentorship and business coaching.
